PONTOON BEACH, IL., March 18, 2026… Agency for Community Transit (ACT) Board of Directors recently recognized three employees for achieving significant safe driving milestones while serving the community through public transportation.
These recognitions reflect years of professionalism, focus, and dedication behind the wheel. According to the National Safety Council, a safe driving award is earned by drivers who make every effort possible to avoid all accidents including those deemed preventable, regardless of fault. In public transportation, that means staying alert, anticipating hazards, and helping protect passengers, pedestrians, and fellow motorists each day.
“Achieving 10 or 15 consecutive years of safe driving is a tremendous accomplishment,” said ACT Executive Director SJ Morrison. “These employees have demonstrated a high level of professionalism and a strong commitment to safety, and we are proud to recognize their service.”
Together, these three employees represent 35 years of safe driving service, reflecting thousands of hours spent helping passengers travel safely throughout the region.
